Looking for a bit of advice. I bought a 74 western star tow truck back in the summer. It hadnt been started for 5 or more years . the old girl fired right up was amazade how nice it run drove it onto a trailer to haul her home and she died while idileing on the trailer . to no avail we cant get her to fire up . turnd in the fuel screw on the pump checked the power going to the fuel shut off took the filter off and made shure it was full a few time .Got me stumped Havent pulled it yet tht be my next step

Are you sure the filter hasn't clogged? If the truck had been sitting that long there could be junk in the tank or fuel that would have been stirred up in moving it. Another possibility is the pickup tube in the tank itself may have clogged. It sure sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me.
