There's a 95 Frieghtliner for sale with a Cat 3176 engine. From my research its a L10.2 so it would not be to powerful but only need it for local grain hauling. Have heard good and bad about it but if it ran this long the bugs are fixed just waiting for new bugs. Does anyone have any experience with this engine?

When was the last overhaul? Those engines had that aluminum spacer under the head that liked to rot out if the coolant wasn't maintained properly.

He is selling it for a woman who's husband died, and not sure of rebuild but says no blow by or leaks.

I looked at the truck and seems nice for its age. It was owned by a mechanic who only drove on Sundays pulling his toys.I bought and should be fine for what i need it for. Thanks for your input.
