Drove to Zacklift today to see the Vitch's. Picked up 500 lbs of mounting brackets and pins.

I like 28, very smooth throughout it's upper to lower ranges. I normally run straight CO2 shielding and some of the cheaper wires don't run well with CO2 (even though they claim to be ERS70-6). My main shop machine is a Miller 252, It does most anything I need to do anymore. Really heavy stuff I switch over to .045 dual shield, you can put on a 1/2' weld in one pass.I checked the wire RZ it's Hobart 28. I had some Norco house brand in it for a while real sad wire that is. The welder it's self is an old Airco.

I got to thinking about the winch ?It will have two tool boxes and another on top of frame for towing light bar and hoses. And we may add a 30,000 lb winch later

That's a damn good Idea, but finding used Holmes stuff around here ain't easy.I got to thinking about the winch ?
Would be cool if you could find an old 600 or 750 bed and just mount the winch mast & outrigger legs behind the sleeper without the booms .
Would be great for side and hard pulls from the rear .
