Will you be able to drill & mount some of the brackets before you go after the lift ?

Zacklift builds the mounts as ready to go with some minor adjusting. Got the sub frame in place and the lift mounts roughly where I want them. The cool thing about
the Zack is all there equipment is built to interchange. The mounts are all the same, you can remove or up grade from a 25,000 lb lift all the way to the 45,000 lb
unit just by removing the hoses, the upper swing pin and the tilt cylinder pin. And the install the bigger lift.

Got it Truck Shop . Progress looks great !

That's cool they will interchange if a feller wants to upgrade .

We need more manufacturers like the Vitch's that think ahead at the customers benefit , I like that ! :)

Not much to report today, spent most of my time welding and installing crossmembers. Waiting on fenders to show so I can figure how and where those will mount.

I checked the wire RZ it's Hobart 28. I had some Norco house brand in it for a while real sad wire that is. The welder it's self is an old Airco.

I like 28, very smooth throughout it's upper to lower ranges. I normally run straight CO2 shielding and some of the cheaper wires don't run well with CO2 (even though they claim to be ERS70-6). My main shop machine is a Miller 252, It does most anything I need to do anymore. Really heavy stuff I switch over to .045 dual shield, you can put on a 1/2' weld in one pass.

Few more pics, built the tail light housings and several other items. Waiting on the Pro Tech fenders, pretty disgusted with Pro Tech it will be the last time I buy
anything from them. Need the fenders before I install the two top side boxes.

It will have two tool boxes and another on top of frame for towing light bar and hoses. And we may add a 30,000 lb winch later

I got to thinking about the winch ?

Would be cool if you could find an old 600 or 750 bed and just mount the winch mast & outrigger legs behind the sleeper without the booms .

Would be great for side and hard pulls from the rear .

Front wheels are getting polished and we started sanding the fuel tanks for polishing this afternoon. Have a cab guard to clean and install also. Installed new bumper.

She's coming together real nice Truck Shop !

Yeah , got to thinking about the winch while I was mowing the yard today :). Holmes winch & mast would come in handy and looks like there is room for it . It would also add extra ballast up front .

Ask around when you go pick up the Zack Lift . I bet the Vitch's know where an old Holmes is or may have one in the archives they would part with ?

Just a few more things to finish, some more work lights on the cab guard and a rotating 36" or so halogen. Then it will be time to go see the vitch's again.

There is no boom it's just a wheel lift only. Installation doesn't take much there are only two pins to install that hold the wheel lift in place. The main mounting pin
on top and the pin for the tilt cylinder plus the hydraulic hoses. I would take a video but I don't own a video camera so pics will have to do. And who knows the
owners of the company might decide they don't want it after all and it will be sold.
