I see teeth on the feet... thinking about some serious winching there?
Yeah it's going to get a winch, just a 30,000 lb hydraulic with free spool. Mainly to pull dead trucks from under a trailer, and the once in a while mildly stuck rig.
Could have used a winch 12 days ago, had to tow one down and pickup a real dead one. Moron for a driver tried to take Mc Kenzie from Eugene to Redmond.
Slid off the road spun the drivers till he threw the chains and in the process exploded the rear driver and ruined the power divider. A tow outfit from Eugene
pulled him straight and he limped to Madras. That's where I picked him up. The back driver had a heaped large shovel full shrapnel in the bottom/no core.
Had to yard it out from under the trailer she quit moving right there.

Just spent $5,000 and ordered a Warn 30XL-LP #80511 30,000 lb winch. After I finish the stiff legs it's the last thing on the list.

Yeah, they all want to go fast now and wont do crap about checking anything on the rigs. I get several trucks a week just to check hub oil in the trailers while the driver sits on the step texting his newest girlfriend.
WTH is wrong with these guys and the truck OWNERS? Most of these guys were hired swith the expectation they would do basic maintenance. They cant seem to even walk around to check lights when they park... That's when I get the screaming call at 6 AM because lights no worky. Oh, don't start me on non English speaking drivers. OOPs rant off.

RZ I just look at it this way and maybe I'm wrong but a high majority of people have no self respect and no pride in there work plus they are lazy.

Together and painted we will bolt them on tomorrow, I hope.

I'm with ya. Got tired of seeing one of our trucks with a dead left turn signal. Driver kept putting it off for weeks "they'll get it with the oil change".
I went and bought a bulb and put it in his durn truck myself.

Thanks, these jobs always look fairly simple and in reality it is. But there is a ton of work designing it to fit in a small space and incorporate the extras all in one unit
and not make it look like a sloppy add on.
