Hello HTF, I'am thinking buying a used truck under 26,000 lbs, or mabe over that weight. What i would like to know is how much cost is involved
in road tax and fees that i may encounter, I have a good driving record and have driven Fire trucks and Army Tractors, 5 Ton. sama.

Hi Sama,
Are you talking a antique collector truck or a commercial vehicle to use daily?
Not sure about North Carolina.
I am in Ontario, anything over 10,000 pounds requires a CVOR,costs 250.00 initially and 50 bucks a year there after .Tags are more money.Yearly safety and emissions. Daily operators checklist book must be filled out daily and a log book must be kept if you travel more than a certain mileage radius . Insurance is more with commercial truck. Antique vehicles require a historic tag for 25 bucks.

Hello Martin, I have been paying a lot to move my old cat 931b, i have spent over $2,000 to have it moved 2 times. I would like to move it more to do more stuff.
just work for myself, trying to figure out the cost and find a truck that i can afford. Down here NC and up in Va. is a back and fourth thing, and mostly good road.
Sam.

No help on cost but a heavy 2 axle 33k gvw flatbed/ramp truck would work (truck tare 13,000 + crawler
16000lbs=29,000+lbs) ball park to look up weight fees etc.Good luck

hi i'm not sure the used truck is your best choice. For me, the used truck we can't guarantee the quality of it and you can't know more detail situation about each part such as engine or others. Would you mind check a Chinese brand. I saw it already launched to the worldwide. you can know more about it from the site :http://www.foton-global.com/. Hope it can help you get more choice.

Mr. Wong, I would ask that you review our rules regarding soliciting here at Heavy Truck Forums. You have used your one freebie.
