Help with 1958 chevy viking-60 rear wheels.

we are hauling out a 58 out of a back yard and the front tire is flat so we want to pull one of the duallys off of the back to use on the front. the rear lugs have a big square peico on the end of the stud and our sockets wont reach the lug nuts what should we do? pics:

thanks for any help, also the lug nuts are 1 1/2 inch.

"R" on the end is for Right Hand threads. If it has an "L" on the left side they will be Left Hand. You will need a 1" impact to get those old rusty buggers off. Then some times the inner stud comes off with the outer nut and you have to pork chop them apart. PITA. Might check for anyone that does commercial truck tire work in your area. Most of those guys are mobile anyhow.

we got the front ones off with a 1" breaker bar and about 6 feet of pipe. but our 1 1/2" socket wont fit over the stud.

Ouch!! That's a lot of torque!! There are sockets specifically made for those studs, you may have to resort to getting one. NAPA or other well sourced auto parts store should be able to get it.
