inframe rebuild kit

Hello all. I have a 95 international DT466HT. I am looking for a inframe kit but they all want to know the serial #. I have no clue. I looked all over the drivers side of the engine and there is no tag with it. I looked over the whole engine and there is none. How can I get a serial # for this engine so I can order the correct kit?

Truck Shop is correct but if you do not know the trucks history a lot can happen in 22 years. In cases like that I take them down and get all the info I can. Numbers off bearings, pistons, liners, etc. Yes you loose a couple of days but it is good to see what the crank looks like anyway.

This^^^. No sense ordering an engine kit if the crank has been turned down or the block has been bored for oversize mains. Check it out first. I once ate 12 liners on a Detroit because the block was bored .020 over. But I sold those to the next overhaul.
