This is a heavy spec 4090 1977 with 12V-71 13spd and SSHD rear axles on 46,000 spring beam Hendrickson suspension. If the guy wanted a reasonable price I would be interested.
But at $10,000 he is way out of line. The cab looks rough as far as paint but it is in fairly good condition.

I wonder why all the curiosity over a thread one year old? Two people asking questions about this corn queen. And to the first person to PM me YES that IS A 4090 not a 4070.
Only 4090's came with factory SSHD drive axles and factory Hendrickson walking beam suspension. Transtar92 are you the one who paid a bunch to ship one down under?
Anyone who wants info can fly or drive Walla Walla, Wa. and I will show you where it sits. It's totally sun baked and full of mouse crap and sunk in the ground. The guy who
is not going to give on the price, he doesn't really have to sell it.

Seems like a lot of people want way too much for old trucks anymore. I wonder if they actually get their price?
Some do . I've ran in to this over the years buying equipment & trucks . More than once we had to shell out a little more cash for an item that we needed to get a job done . Myself . Look something over good & kick the tires … Pay no attention to " Market Value " or what people think …..
We aint buying it to try to re sell it later . Buying it to do a job and earn cash on a job site . And if it keeps earning cash it holds it's value on my books . An item may have a " Market value " of $10 bucks for sale on the sidewalk ... That same item may earn $ 500 bucks per year on a job site . :)

I was a member at ATHS for quite a while and the Classifieds were my favorite section. It wasn't very often a truck would be listed for more than $5000. Not sure if that's changed but I can't imagine it would be by much.

Good point Steve ! Times are changing . Gotta open up the checkbook a little wider to buy something when the seller understands what it's worth . I was a member of heavy equipment forums . LOL ! :)

That 4090 had been setting in one spot for 34 years, right along with everything else around that place. The guy who owned that
4090 had a string of scrap reaching 1/3 of a mile long right over a buried water line that he was in a feud over with the county.
He is a fellow who doesn't believe in paying taxes, court has ordered that the property be cleaned up and taxes payed by a set time
or he will forfeit the ground. There is a shipping container with about 20 Detroit two strokes just setting and half were rebuilt.

And make sure to pay the property tax on time … Or you will find out who really owns it . LOL ! :)
