And that's a 1964 Mercury mid roof 52" stand-up sleeper. Mercury only made fifteen of these in 1964, for some reason they didn't sell very well.
This truck I bought was from the original owner. He told me when he ordered it, it was only the second tilt hood Pete sold in the northwest. He received
it in Oct 66. I saw this truck on the highway when I was twelve in 68 and thought it was the coolest thing on wheels. Never would have guessed I would
own it latter on in life.
It had a BCIII 400-CPL 625, with a reworked 444 turbo, KTA 525 pump 1" gear, Double nie pistons, 300 rail pressure. 14613 sp, SQ100 rears on
pete air leaf, 82 pete out side frame power steering. And Yes It Only Had One Stack-- that's all she needed, in it's day she would RUN.
