I have showed this truck to 3 local guys that bitch about electronics and DEF... Then they tell me "it's a little too old and doesn't have 500HP". I give up.:bangh

I'm not surprised. I have had that happen so much I don't help the locales anymore. There is always an excuse-too much money, don't like the color, doesn't have enough horse power or
I'm not sure I need a truck that big.

I reckon they have no idea what they are missing out on .

Have ran in to the same situation with people .

One will say it's old & obsolete . While another will appreciate what it is , buy it , and turn a Dollar with it .:)

Horses for courses .

Also run in to this when looking & estimating jobs at times .

We looked at a bridge repair job last week .

Bridge is fine but with all the rain we have had it's washing out to where the sides of the footing are showing and utilities in the bottom of the creek are all exposed . It's a simple erosion issue .
Tolled the customer we would drop in some gabion rock baskets below the bridge to keep material in place around the bridge & cover the utilities with some stone & rip rap . The baskets will hold it all in place .

Customer then tells me he's had a civil engineer look at it as well .........

The CE said the footings need re poured .

At this point I'm like WTF ? :confused

I rattled off some numbers for him anyhow on the rock baskets , be interesting to see what they do .

Imagine we will get a call back .

Well most people are wanting something for nothing. Then they buy what they think is a good deal only to pour thousands in it later. Then bitch at you later like it's your
fault they bought it.

Well, one of these outfits is going to spend $40K for a 2012 KW with an ISX @500HP. I cant wait 'til the morning they call screaming about coolant leaking out of the exhaust joints. Or the broken manifold bolts, or... SIGH...

They bought a pile of heartache IMO. I could add to your list of mechanical disasters that will happen.
