Wiper Arm Bell Crank Mount

My fix or what I came up with to repair the cowl mounting area for the wiper arm bell crank when it cracks and brakes out around
the mounting bolts. I had a local machine shop make these for me after I came up with measurements. And here are two trucks
out of seven I have repaired with these brackets. I gave some to a guy that had them chromed and he used them on his 379 that
was just starting to spider crack. These brackets stopped the problem. Even after being repaired by a body shop the cowl still
cracks out a short time later.

That is a simple clean solution for a decades old problem, I wonder if the cowl weakness has been addressed on the 389 family cab up date ? Funny how each manufacturer has it's own fail point. Paccar really annoys me with the not sharing suspension with their cousins, And of course no darn leg room in anybody's cab, what are all cab designers 4'3" 89 # or what.

More than likely the cowl stayed the same on the 389. Paccar cab room has always been tight for a driver over six foot. The seat eats up the back of the cab.
And the old A model cab the throttle pedal was damn near vertical, have seen more than one with a block of wood screwed to the floor to change the angle
of the drivers foot. Would give you shin splints after a while.

And the designers probably were 4'3" and because of there short inseam had to have the clutch brake adjusted 4" off the floor:p

Well I'll put it this way, it was the best I could come up with with not allot of time involved. Once the fiberglass breaks out where the bell crank
is bolted it's never the same and I have yet to see anybody repair the fiberglass in that area and have it last very long.

Good repair set up, the 97 379 I was running has stress cracks started here, saw them washing the windows one of my last trips with it.
