I went to the ATHS in Mass last year and took some pics. Here's a few old Mack examples:

CF600 Pumper. I drove a 1977 model at our Fire Department, the first pumper I ran. It was decades ahead of its time, it would be 20 years before an engine in our county would pump more than 1500 GPM, our truck would move 2000GPM

I came across this recently restored '57 B at the local truck upfitter's last week and took a few pics. Currently it's had a hitch plate added with air lines and safety hooks. I'm not sure what the final plans are for it but I'll try to keep track of it.

I had to take the interior shots through the window, but you can see this is a first class restoration job!!

I think I posted a stand alone shot of that here somewhere. I was an ATHS member for about 20 years but let my membership lapse when things got tight. I need to re-up, I miss the WOT magazine!

Really nice trucks Steve ! That would be a cool truck show to attend . I have one customer that is a die hard Mack fan .... They still run a few R models in there farming operation . Pretty tough old trucks .

Sure did turn out great with the dump body . No doubt in my mind it would haul & dump a load with the same quality as it looks .:thumbsu

I went to the Big E in September and saw this old Mack FK owned by Hallmore Industries. The thing is HUGE! It didn't specify anywhere which engine is in it, wish I could have gotten a pic of that.

I got here too late,I wanted to be the first to comment on that old Bighorn,as much as I love Macks, that Dodge was a beauty and being a Mopar man I just can't let go.Those interior shots of the B61 had the dashboard factory colors that the Macks of that era shipped with. Those old Macks were hot pulling a long hill with a load,we used to just pull out the throttle, open the door and get out on the fuel tank/running board? to get whatever air we could during the climb. It was even worse for the passenger "if you had one" because the stack was right there to roast you even more.
Those Mack quarry trucks were neat too,New Haven Trap Rock had them along with their Eucs so I saw them often while hauling out of their quarrys.Ron G

Today's mack truck have 8 inches highest cabin chassis, A great feel for drivers as they sit higher than other, These trucks are monsters special having double spark V12 engines

I was born in 1976 and my late father drove a Mack F COE and hauled a reefer trailer behind him. I was hooked on big trucks from the first moment I rode in one - when I was about two, I guess. My Dad passed in '80 - I was three months away from being four at the time and didn't really understand why my Dad wasn't here anymore. :( The hardest part of losing him was my Mom's reaction. He died while driving his rig in New York and he was gone before his body hit the wheel from a massive heart attack. Only thirty-eight at the time, too. :(

I have a picture of the truck he drove in an album but I can't get my printer/scanner/copier to work so I can post it here. :(

I loved that truck and I'm hoping someday that a friend I met on FB will build me a model of the truck. :)
