Thanks for joining us here at Heavy Truck Forums. Sorry to hear the sad story of your Dad. I remember those F Macks well, they were very popular here in the northeast. UPS used them with daycabs and a company called McCormick trucking in Pa. had a number of them with sleepers.

Not to change the subject or subject matter but I think the the most popular cab over back in the '50s and '60s had the be the Whites,they were everywhere and you could hear them for miles with that big flat head 6 cylinder with dual exhaust and 4 barrel carbs.I have driven trucks with that engine (Autocars) but never the cab overs.Ron G

Came across this on a Facebook group I belong to, it's for sale on Craig's List. Description says it's an LJ and the cab appears to confirm that but I've never seen one with a fiberglass hood before. It almost looks like a KW hood. There used to be a guy dragging a gravel trailer in my area with an LJ all restored nice, it had a steel butterfly hood and steel fenders.

That's an aftermarket hood made by Clariben Fiberglass Products... I think. They made some hoods for B models too.
