Another HEF transplant

I guess you could call me a younger oldtimer.

I guess I really started in this in the early '80s as a truck mechanic. Then in the late '80's I went to work for a company that had about 75 trucks and a bunch of heavy equipment. I soon became foreman over everything this did at night and on weekends. We had a great variety of equipment and did all kinds of wild stuff.

In the early '90's I went into business for myself as a mechanic, crushed my right arm, then took a temporary job as service manager for a Ford tractor dealership for a year while my arm healed and the regular guy underwent cancer treatment.

In '95 I went back into business for myself with some fertilizer spreader trucks and soon added tractors and dump trailers. I later added construction equipment. 2 years ago I sold my trucks and got rid of my drivers, though I still have 2 CH Mack tractors, a Chevy C90 tandem dump with a 6-71 and a 13 spd., 2 IH 2375 floater spreaders, a 7500 GMC w/ a 20k capacity hd rollback, an F-Superduty service truck, and about 15 or so various trailers. I still have some heavy equipment too.

I have been surviving the post-2008 world by doing all kinds of wild jobs.

And yes, I guess I will sometimes get long winded on here like I do on HEF. :beatsme
