Saw in the news resently about a driver that was holding a load of frozen chicken ransom for his compensation pay. The story wasn't to clear on the details but he abandoned the load at a truck stop in Utah. The reefer ran out of fuel and the chickens thawed and after a couple weeks juices started running out with a wonderful smell.
Any way I was wondering, ( I'm not a OTR driver ) how bad is it out there to get your comp pay, ( fuel, tolls, etc. ) from the dispatchers. The news said he didn't have enough money to make it to Wash. St. I've heard theirs a shortage of drivers because of the shale drilling. Was this guy goofy or is there a problem with getting paid ?
