This is what lies under the hood of my 1977 Transtar 4200. 430HP. Was thinking of doing an inframe although it only has about 80,000 or less on it. The original owner who I have known since the early 70's had a total out of frame rebuild on it at a DD shop. Sad thing is, it dribbled oil bad from the moment they fired it up. Pretty sure it has 1 or a couple wristpin seals leaking. I have all new parts including injectors for an inframe to take it to 475HP. Just not a priority.

I live on a Hill Wille59,and I still love the sound of those jakes in the firetrucks as they go by and are slowing for the stop sign in site of my house. You can't take that out of an old man who was brought up around them.I drove an old long nose Brockway one season pulling the lowbed with a 318 with a three stage jake in it.You never get tired of it The tractor had bungee cords between the fenders holding the hood on..LOL.Ron G

It's been my experience that the 92 Series was the quietest of the 2 stroke Detroits. I drove a White Road Commander with a 6V92 in it, it was a dream to drive compared to the 8V71 powered White 9000 I drove or the 6V53 powered FWD plow truck. Both of those trucks required headphones or you'd be certified nuts by lunchtime!
