HD Scan Tool

I am looking to buy an affordable HD scan tool. I want to read/clear fault codes and monitor live data.
I don't really want to spend more than $ 1000.00.
Any body have any suggestions?

With that said, I've bought a lot of junk of Amazon. And i'm talking about items that had 4.5 star rating...just be sure to look closely at the individual reviews.

There is now a menebr on big mack trucks forum that has a prolink with two mack and one cat cartridge for 500.00 If you buy it I will buy one of the mack cartridge from you.
