I kinda cut my teeth on those quadruplexes and my dexterity was legendary as you would probably expect from a gearhead like I was but I can promise you that if you happened to miss a shift and found yourself with both trannies in neutral at the same time and you had any respect for your maker then you just had to stop and start over. You could recover sometimes but it was nasty.I always made sure that I timed my shifts so you could not tell if I was shifting the auxilliary or splitting both boxes so you couldn't help but smile if you were a bystander. Those were the days, huh?Ron G
I didn't even notice that it was not a twin screw,it was probably an old freight tractor then, not heavy duty enough for site work. Now that I look at it it was probably used for a rolloff application.Sorry.Ron G
I am currently looking for a truck that has a 16' - 18' bed, set up just like that one with the barn doors. Too bad it is not about 1000 miles closer. I would say the asking price is about double what the real value is.
