Some of you know that I have never grown up (Mentally) and I still play in the Mud . I like mud bogging Missouri style . That means this sticky clay ground and D.O.T. approved tires .
Since 2008 I haven't had a truck running ,With the down turn money has been short . I had a motor explosion at the end of 2008 that junked everything . Fast forward .... Well over two months ago my mud running buddy sent word that he was going to spend the money and build a mud pit at his place , Not really for competition but a place to play , eat and just relax the Saturday after 4th .
I had pretty much settled in to the notion that I was just going to get pic's of the boys playing and I was good with That . On the night of the 4th My wife and one of my future daughter in laws were sitting outside . Christi was telling my wife about going to Randys mud pit and playing Saturday . Christi asked why my old truck was still not running ... Wife informed Christi that if she has anything to do with it would never run again . " He spent more time with truck than me " . Which immediately I thought " If you were as much fun to ride maybe I would " . They never knew I could hear them .
So slow burn started , I had plans for a 400+ inch engine in the future . But I shifted to an anything to make it run mode . Out back there was an old firebird that the oldest boy bought and just left set . I gathered all 3 boys up , told them what I had planned . That was to drag that bone stock 305 out of the bird and get the truck ready to go to Randy's . They were all in . Spent from 9:00 am till noon on Friday just getting the 38 12:50s aired up on 10 inch wide rims .
Drug the bird out and yanked the engine then set in the truck and had it making noise in the truck by night fall . Randy heard about what was going on and helped for a few hours too . Got up Saturday morning and finished it around noonish . Pit party was to start at 5:30 to 6 .
Wife never said a word but she knew I had heard one way or another . Anyway we enjoyed the day . My oldest boy brought his bronco which 3 out of 3 time got spanked .LOL he and I have our own Chevy Vs Ford thing going on . I have tried getting that boy straightened out but I think he was dropped on his head as a child . Kinda explains a lotta stuff with him . The other 2 boys stuck there trucks in the hole too .

BTW the name on the side of my orange truck tells it all LMAO . Yellow truck belongs to the host .
