Star Hopper trailers

We had three grain trailers to brake this last week. Old Star Grain hoppers with inboard drums. The trouble with Stars you never know what axles
will be under there because when Star built a trailer the axles were used. All new drums, s-cams, slack adjusters, shoes and hardware kits.
All the wheel studs, inner nuts and outer nuts and wheel seals. Had to have some of the s-cam out board snap ring grooves re-cut because couldn't
come up with the exact cam with out waiting a week. I hope I don't see another inboard brake for awhile.:p

I think Star did a lot of that to sell them as rebuilds titled as an older trailer, sort of like a glider kitted truck.
I pulled a brand new 1982 Star belt bottom for awhile and I think it was titled as a 1974 Rebuild. Not totally sure on that, it's been a few years.
