I had a few hours after work the other day and scouted a few more KW's. The red and silver is a 72 with a 350 Cummins and 5x4 with torsion
bar rear suspension. The other is a 71 with a pioneer cabin setting just 75' away. What a chateau for those days.
The 72 even has the sand spreaders. I've always wondered how well they worked, and what a person had to do to the sand to keep moisture out allowing it to flow rather than clump up.
We always used grit in ours at the firehouse, it was similar to 1/4" stone. I don't recall it ever jamming up, although the truck was always stored indoors
