I'm the same way Jason . Ya just don't forget those moments . even though that photo was taken over 40 years ago it seems like yesterday . That was on a job for the Corps Of Engineers on a lake project . Grand Dad & Uncle were both working on it along with many others so I got to spend a little time on the site . Time sure flies !Dang that brings back memories.
I remember bringing dad lunch while he was wrenching on one just like that in the 80s.
Project was a success ! Lake filled first year after completed .
Now you won't hear me say this often ....... Those lake projects by the Army Corps Of Engineers were an excellent example of well spent tax payer dollars .
They cured flooding issues , provided good public recreation , and most important drinking water for tens of thousands of people . :specool
In my opinion we need to build more of them .
